Leiden University Centre for Linguistics

Leiden University Centre for Linguistics (LUCL) is one of seven institutes housed within the Faculty of Humanities.

Established in 2008, the institute focuses on linguistic research and (language) teaching at Leiden University. It offers excellent opportunities for both researchers and students alike to study a wide variety of the world’s languages. The Academic Language Centre, as part of LUCL, provides language services to university students and staff but also to individuals and groups outside the university.
