I am a Research Master student in Linguistics, currently in my final stages of studenthood. My interest in languages and cultures began when my parents moved from Skopje, Macedonia to a strange new world: The Netherlands, and took me, as a young child, with them. My interests within linguistics include semantic fieldwork, cross-linguistic semantics and Atlantic languages. My MA thesis is a cross-linguistic investigation of the semantic relationships between conditionals, questions, and coordinators in three different languages: Dutch, Macedonian and Wolof. Besides writing my thesis, I spend my time working as an editorial assistant for the Journal of African Languages and Linguistics, doing yoga, hanging out with T.W.I.S.T. and drinking tea.
